Some of the old-timers still around may recall I've been known to commit woodworking on occasion. In the late '90s One of the few perks of being a Comcast customer was free website space. I had a vanity site there where I could share pics with friends and family. Comcast being Comcast, that lasted for close to ten years, at which point they pulled the rug out from under their customers and the websites were eliminated. Turns out the Wayback Machine had something to say about disappearing sites. It's almost all there. Quite a few pics are missing, which is somewhat of a puzzlement, since they were all stored in the same place, yet somehow some got copied and some didn't. I used to go to a lot of airshows too, even flew in to the EAA fly-in at Arlington, WA once, and many of those pics are still there. So where am I going with this? Well, here's my latest woodworking creation- I give you Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer: Wood for Mjolnir came from an ash tree we had in the yard that got capped by the ash borer. I saved several offcuts and let them season for 3-4 years. We had thought about getting a Kuerig and I even made a cabinet/stand for it, but we decided not to. Here's the stand: Okay, done braggin".

Nice! Do you still do woodworking? I wish you were closer. I could give you so many chunks of Mahogany from the trees we trim.

Dang! Almost makes me want to move to Humidity Central.
Thanks! I finished the joiner's mallet a few days ago, the coffee maker stand a few weeks ago.

Ran across plans for a wooden block plane while rummaging through an old copy (2017) of Woodcraft Magazine. Always been intrigued by wood planes so i thought I'd give this one a shot. Wooden planes are usually adjusted by tapping the front or the back to extend or retract the iron so I made the small mallet specifically for that purpose. (I thought Thor's hammer might be overkill.) 'scuse the blurriness, took it with my phone and no tripod. Gettin' old sucks.
