Gunslinger has changed hosting services a couple of times recently. (At this writing it's February 1, 2020.) The latest move to Proboards involved manually transferring what databases we could. It wasn't possible to transfer, for instance, the knowledgebase in "The Smith" subforum, in one operation. Instead we had to do it, and other subforums, by brute force, i.e., one thread at a time, those threads in turn being moved one post at a time.
There were a couple of consequences, the first being that transferred threads no longer reflect the original poster's name. Every post within each thread, though, does include the OP's name. (whichfinger is not the prolific poster he may seem to be.
) Another problem is the sometimes fluid nature of the interwebs. Many threads contained pics stored on Photobucket. Most of you are familiar with the fiasco Photbucket created a few years ago, the result being many photos stored there are no longer available or have been defaced with Photobucket's watermark. For whatever reason, a few Youtube videos that had been incorporated in some threads are no longer available. Since the video was a core part of the OP, the rest of the posts in the thread would be difficult to interpret, so in a rare case or two those threads were not moved.
The second consequence is that sometimes not all the posts in a given thread were transferred. If a post was not related to the subject in the OP or if it did not contribute in some way to the subject, it was sometimes omitted. If your post was one of those, understand it was done in the interest of completing the transfer ASAP while maintaining some semblance of sanity. Feel free to repost.
