Ive got two projects sitting on my bench at home that are ready to finish. So I take a trip to the local Sporting store to pick up some of my favorite stock finish. Birchwood Caseys Tru Oil. its one of the more durable finishes that will hold up to water, oil, solvents, UVs, etc... Its also scratch resistant. AND.... its easily repairable. Its easy to put a new top coat for a new look. Well I stopped in three places and couldn't find any so at the fourth I asked and was told it had been pulled from shelf's because it contained chemicals banned from CA. So I tried Varithane, its also fast drying and hard as a rock. also banned from CA! But they have a new water based formula "coming soon!" I'm not sure what to do now :shocked1: In mid Nov Ill be in Oregon and Reno, Nevada. So I may have to stock up then. For now Ill try a few online venders. This place is really beginning to rub me the wrong way! DR
