Well, I have been able to sit up and take nourishment. I dropped out of this forum when it went weird a few years ago. I happened to find you today when I was killing time while the spouse was out. I did pick up another Heritage a few years back with a different grip. It is a 22 LR/22 WMR with a 6.5 barrel with Bass scale grips It seems my attempt to add a photo flunked. "Insert Image: didn't work. I'll drop by again some day.

Well good to see a real live post for once. Very slim pickings in this place for a new post and chat about the rough Riders. My 6 1/2" barrel with the F/O adj sights is my favorite Rough Rider. Been looking at the Tactical Cowboy, but mixed reviews on it make me hesitate buying it.

Ulmus last logged on in March 2021. Our other mod, DangerRanger, last logged on in November 2020. When I hadn't seen Ulmus log on for a couple of weeks I tried contacting him through a private forum message as well as his real-world email and never got a reply. I tried calling the phone number he gave me and got a message saying that number was not accepting calls, or something similar (it was back in April or late march of 2021 and I don't remember too good anymore. ) Gunslinger was always Ulmus' pride and joy and it's totally uncharacteristic for him to be absent for such a prolonged period. IIRC he re-upped his registration of Gunslinger for a couple of years, maybe even signed up for automatic renewal, hence the forum is still available. I'm beginning to think it's only a matter of time until the registration expires. I won't comment any further.

Well it is good to see you in here also whichfinger. I see you now and then on another forum...can not think of which one right now. Been Shooting my KelTec P17 most of the time at the range along with my P 80 build. Well it is a PFC9 but I bought it all assembled and have modified it myself part here and there.

I used to be a frequent flyer on several forums but I'm down to two: Rimfire Central, where I seldom post, and and Taurus Armed, where I do post once in a while. Re the Tactical Cowboy, you do know that suppressors don't work on revolvers*, right? I understand the need for a flash hider with .22 Mag, tho. *With the exception of the Nagant.

taurusarmed is the one I see you on..( I'm mark7mod0) never been in rimfire Central. The only thing I was looking at for the RR Tac was the ability to put a red dot on it. I like my adj F/O sights so I thought a red dot might be fun. I rarely shoot my S/A RR revolvers now that the grand and great grand kids have moved up to the semi autos. Still fun to have now and then so I will keep them. I did sell the Wrangler, really liked it, but kept the Heritage over the Ruger.
Alright, have a good evening...take care.

Well, it appears I haven't missed anything by being gone for a couple of years. The owners attempt to make a living from the members didn't work.
Thanks for the input.

BYE I hope you don't think Ulmus is/was receiving any income from Gunslinger. He owns the registered Gunslinger domain name but the forum is hosted by ProBoards. They're the ones who get income from any ads you might see. Prior to ProBoards, Gunslinger was hosted by Tap-a-Talk, and they received income from ads and promoted paid membership. The Gunslinger forum has always and only been a labor of love for Ulmus. He pays the registration fee(s) and has never asked, nor would he accept, any financial support from members.

Well it appears we have not missed anything from conman37 not being here either. Strange how not knowing the truth can lead to opinions that ruin a possible friendship.
