Really enjoy my Heritage Rough Rider, but wanted another .22 in semi auto. Looked at most all of them and finally decided on the KelTec P17. I shot one at the range one day that a friend had and I just never got over how much I liked it. I see some good and some bad reviews on it....just like the Taurus TX22, but overall seems like the P17 has less major problems. Hope I got a Tuesday afternoon ![]()  model...  |

The first time was great time firing this gun... a few FTF and FTE with Aguila and Remington...CCI Mini Mags 100%. The second time it did not like the Aguila Super Extra ammo or Fed......Mini Mag...yep, zero malfunctions. Took the P17 apart and found it to be filthy...the Federal ammo I believe is the culprit and the extractor had a burr on the tip...sanded and polished it. This last time....Aguila was 95% but not accurate...starting shooting the CCI's.....yep 100% and nothing outside the bullseye ring Really like this firearm a lot. Easy to rack and easy to clean. ![]() Pretty much lost the P17 to my wife...added a laser for her as she is not all that good using a regular 3 dot type sight as she only shoots her revolver. Attachments:
