I could of missed it, but this could be the first post in 2022. As you can tell, I'm bored stiff with no life, LOL. too

I've been hoping to get out to do some shooting, but the weather hasn't been coordinating with my available time.

Good to see a new post, Happy New Year and hope our forum gets more lively this year. I went to the range today with the 6.5" F/O Rough Rider. It is now the only revolver I have as I sold the Wrangler to help fund building a Polymer 80.

Well, at least you sold the right one. Actually the vast majority of posts I've read elsewhere on the Ruger are positive. The few negatives have usually been in regard to the sloppy tolerances/fit. I wouldn't mind having one, but I already have four Rough Riders.

I liked the Wrangler, it was just a question of getting rid of the least used to help fund the Poly80 build plus buy the Taurus G3, and the Wrangler fell into that category. Speaking of the G3...that is a very impressive handgun. I may have gotten very lucky, but out of the box it has been almost as good as any of my custom firearms. My G2c is a very dependable firearm, but the G3 is perfect. The 6.5" Rough Rider will never go as it is just a great firearm. I like the fiber optic adjustable sights a lot. I also like my other Rough Rider(4.75" model) but not nearly as much as the other. Why Heritage refuses to make a 4.75" with those F/O sights is a mystery to me. If you recall I offered to pay for a special run of one of the 4.75" barrels with those sights and they even said no to that. All the grandkids and now two of the great grand kids love shooting it. With the vast amount of .22 ammo I stocked up on since 2016 With the Rough Rider and my CZ P07 with the .22 Kadet Kit conversion range time is still cheap and fun. Pulled a hang nail on my trigger finder instead of cutting it like my dumb butt knows I should have done do, so have to let it heal for a few days till another range day. Other than that...not much happening in the firearm world for me. Waiting on some more test results on my heart...I know there will not a bright outlook there as my heart function continues to decrease. Getting to the point my activity is limited and I know range time will have to decrease more and more soon. With going on 72 years old and with all the major other medical problems (there have been many) I have endured I am lucky to have lasted this long. Live the time in a normal as much as possible way and take it day by day.

Trigger finger in a sling is disconcerting, but the other stuff is more so. Hang in there, pard!
