Well, nobody has ben posting on this site for a while. Everytime I go to it it's the same topics that were there the last time I visited nothing new. So I'm going to post something new. I went to Academy Sports last week and lucked up on 9mm ammo. Two box limit for 19.99 on the brown box military looking logo by Remington. They get a truck in on Monday and Wednesday and put the ammo out on a tall metal shelf at Customer Service. They had some .223 steel cases 200 rnds for 29.00, 7.62x39 steel cases 13.00 a box and some other calibers I wasn't interested in. I've done well everytime I have gone lately. Anybody else finding ammo, anywhere? Oh yeah, they've had .22 cal. long rifle everytime I've gone looking for 8.99 100 rnd plastic boxes.

Hi bailiff, Maybe the virus has something to do with it. A boring life can put a severe kink in what one has to post about.
I haven't been shooting in years so I don't have a finger on the pulse of ammo sales in these parts. Surely there must be someone out there who can enlighten us. (And no, I didn't call anyone Shirley.)

Yes. Actually, no. I like to refer people to the story of the ant and the grasshopper. Heck, last I checked even FEMA says keep three days worth of consumables. Let's say I normally shoot 5,000 rounds a day. Three days worth of ammo would be 15,000 rounds. And that's just for .357 Magnum. I have guns in several other calibers with each of which I shoot 5,000 rounds a day. The floor joists groan under the weight.

I bought lot's of ammo when I got my R.R. Just hard to get excited when it is below 0, and everything is white. !! Ulmus knows about us Michiganders lol. The rifle range at my club, doesn't keep it up during the Winter. ( BUT ) just 2 days ago, I was looking up ammo prices on puter, saw on the news, that the new administration is talking about the 2nd amendment, kinda gets me nervous ! too

For years there's been a relatively quiet undercurrent on the left suggesting the best way around the SA is to tax the living daylights out of ammo. You can own all the guns you want, but you can't afford to load them.
