Replaced my cylinder last week now it locks up in the same position every time . Put old cylinder in and works fin put mag cylinder in works fine. Is there something I should look for on the new cylinder that's causing it to lock up.

Jul 23, 2015#2 Check the "gear" on the back of the cylinder and see if it matches up with the other cylinders. I don't know how old your gun is, but the older ones had a different timing and Heritage had different cylinders for the "old" and "new".
Other than that, check for burrs, or if the cylinder pin is setting in all the way.

Jul 23, 2015#3 If the original cylinder works fine Measure it with a caliper for over all length. and compare it to the new one. The fitting of a new cylinder starts with that measurement. Then wit a set of feeler guages measure between the cylinder face and the barrel. it should have a clearance of between 5 and 10 thousands. A little sanding at the back will increase this measurement , a little sanding at the front will decrease this measurement. Good luck DR
