Who's looking forward to this (besides me. ) It looks like there's going to be a lot of new faces on the show.

I never managed to get into it, I'm more of a fan of Alone, the new season of which is also airing this month.

Alone starts tonight! We're recording it since it's on so late. Don't spoil it for me.

I was surprised to see the first episode was 90 minutes. I watched the first hour and recorded the last 1/2 hour to watch today. Interesting format they have this year.
I remember staying up late or setting my alarm for the wee hours to watch Apollo launchings and Moon landings. Nowadays if SpaceX is launching after 9:30 PM I'll watch it on their Youtube channel the next day.

LOL! That's how I watch Space X. The contrail is so much lighter on their rockets you can't see it like you could on the shuttles from my side of the state. How about that throw?

The skwirl? Yeah, that was a whatthehelldidIjustsee moment. Wish I had an arm like that. There are a couple of tree rats and several rabbits hanging out here that could use one upside the head. The town has an ordinance against using anything that creates a projectile. That includes air rifles, BB guns, slingshots, blowguns, bows, crossbows, and atlatls. I think I'm safe with a Super Soaker.
I think that's the second time I've seen some klutz lose his fire steel on this series. How the heck does one manage that? It's every bit as crucial as a knife and I'd certainly be double-checking possession of that frequently. The guy just used it earlier on his walk to light the fire under his "hot tub." It looked like he had an excellent start, too. He was actually notching logs to build the walls of his shelter, he found what appeared to be a few dozen yards of fishing line, a gallon fuel can, plus a shovel. it's quite obvious that native Canadians have spent some quality time in his area.
I'm too lazy to look it up, and I know in the past you've spent some time on the bushcraft forum, so maybe you can give up where they are? Great Slave Lake again?
ETA: I paid attention during the opening credits and I see they are using Great Slave Lake again. Dang, that's a big puddle.

Damn that ordinance is thorough! Not even blow-guns. Someone really went overboard with that one.
Yep. The guy pulled a Joe Robinet and lost his ferro rod. I couldn't believe the luck he had with those findings. I told my wife if I was going on the show, all me ten items would be painted orange plus the rod would have a rope to have around me neck.
Looks like they hit an area around it that is rougher this time
