I was removed from the Heritage Rough Rider combo group yesterday on Facebook. My initial posts that preceded my banning were in response to another member discussing his RR and Wrangler with range pictures. I did the same and talked about the comparisons ...but did not bad mouth one brand of chose one over another. Well another member got all bent out of shape...and I told him I understand it is a Heritage site and all but the mention of or a posting of a range target is in my opinion a non hanging offense but if the admin felt like doing so I really did not care as the group should be fun AND also informative. I told him a few other things but actually was calm for how I felt. I tried to explain that some crossover chat may actually benefit Heritage owners ...parts interchangeability, griping differences....you know. Well all in all got what I expected. Now I am not new to gun forums and I know there are trolls that come in and bash certain brands and just cause problems by trying to annoy members. However!!!!...the mere mention of another manufactures name and not allowing any pictures of target experiences in any group is in my opinion so asinine! It just defies any logic. I even recommended others to join this group. Also in a post in there, I said the new CEO of Taurus needs to come in to these groups or have reps in there groups or in this forum to see how the comments display what needs to be done to make Taurus and Heritage better companies.
So unless I get banned in here, I do not see that happening because of the common sense with the people that run this forum, and other members of the forum, this is where I will get all and give all my Rough Rider information. And glad to be doing it.

I don't think I've ever banned a real member. Just spam bots when we had a rash of them a long time ago.

Try some of the CCW forums.
It doesn’t matter what make of gun you own, your choice of ammo, holster.... someone will be along shortly to tell you about your choices being completely wrong and you have no experience.
At 81 years and owning guns since the early 1950’s I can’t help but wonder if these “Expert” characters are teenagers and have never even been in the service.

That's another benefit to these revolvers. No mall ninjas!

There are still a few Facebook gun groups I belong to and like. The worst thing about FB groups are the ever changing and non precise rules a group has to deal with. I can see where it is more of a problem than in a "forum", but still some of the people in charge make the job harder because of the interpretation THEY have for what rules are being broken. Having a forum like this where different manufactures are accepted eliminates a lot of problems. We in here like most SA revolvers even though this is primarily a Rough Rider site. Sure a few in here really dislike other than RR or like a Ruger over a Uberti, but never do we see a real nasty comment made about any over another. I do wish someone from Heritage would come in and view what is said in here to see what our problems are and what we like. CZ is really good for that and so was S&W.

I'm only on FB for family stuff since that's what they use.

I got on FB so I could have contact with my kids who live several states away. It seems they don't know how to use a phone for its original purpose. One there, I found my military, veteran, and military history groups. I must belong to 50 of them. Maybe more. I do belong to a couple of gun groups, such as Charter Arms and military Mauser rifles.
I love it! Military history has been my passion since I was a pre-teen schoolboy, and I'm going to be 72 in two more months.

If you like history and haven't checked them out, I highly recommend inrange TV for their history vignettes and c&rsenal for the unique guns of WW-I. I also recommend Indy Nidel's WW-II channel.

To say I like history would be an understatement. Two years ago I was asked to serve as National Historian for the Society of the 5th Infantry Division, US Army. I am in posession of the Society archives, which consist of items donated by members since our founding in 1919. Books, flags, photographs, all manner of official Army personnel records, and much more, enough to fill half of an 8X12 storeroom down at my American Legion post. My duty is to research requests for information, usually for the family of a deceased veteran who never talked about what he did in "the war", which could be WW1, WW2, or Vietnam. My biggest one, that I had to have a professional researcher friend go to the Washington government archives to help me, was from a village in France who wants to erect a monument to those men who died liberating them from the Nazis. They wanted the names of the fallen to put on the stone. I just talked to my new friend Jacques tonight via email. He witnessed the battle as a young boy, and the sight of dead Americans still bothers him to this day. The funny thing is, I'm just a dumb old truck driver that barely graduated high school, and went to war instead of college. I am entirely self taught. THAT is how bright the passion burns within me.
