InRangeTV is doing a series on youtube about lever action rifles and carbines. Not Just Henrys andWinchesters; they bring up Spencer, and Trapdoor as well. They do rum throughs and manual of arms for each as well as thought experiments on how each would fit in the military along with other ideas.
Here's their video about why the Calvary abandoned the Spencer and went back to the Trapdoor.
