Hi my name is malachi and i have a question to ask. i was wondering if any one knows if heritage parts will fit on a old colt 22. i have a colt frontier scout 62 that has the marking .22 cal wich i have heard means it was sold with both a 22lr and 22wmr cylinder .i only have the 22lr one so would it be possible for me to buy a 22 mag cylinder from heritage for cheap or would i have to look for a original part?

Welcome to Gunslinger.
Heritage changed the cam on the cylinder in the late 90 if I remember right. It's a subtle timing difference from the newer ones. Do you have anyone close by that has a Rough Rider that will let you try their cylinder in your Colt?

If there is a gunstore in your area that has a used one ask if they will let you see if it works on your Colt. Maybe they will say yes.

I don't think it will fit! I think the cylinder length is pretty important too! Two places I would look for a Colt Cylinder would be Numrich arms, Or their newer name Gunparts Corp. and if that fails a Colt Collector site! Good luck. DR
